Kent Canine Behaviour | Home of Adventures with Tilley
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Kent Canine Behaviour is run by Emily McGowan. Adventures with Tilley is the name used for our community walks and events. This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you visit kentcaninebehaviour.co.uk, contact us, book a service, attend an activity or join Beneath the Behaviour.
You can contact us about privacy at hello@kentcaninebehaviour.co.uk or on 07432 288085. Our contact page is also available online.
What information we collect
We may collect your name, contact details, address, booking and payment records, and the information you share about your dog, household and goals. For behaviour support, this may include questionnaires, consultation notes, messages, training plans, and photographs or videos you send us.
For walks, classes and events, we may ask for information needed to assess suitability and manage safety, such as your dog’s behaviour and medical history and an emergency contact. If you tell us about your own health or accessibility needs, we will use only the information needed to support your participation.
Our website and booking services may also collect technical information through cookies or similar technologies.
How we use your information
We use your information to answer enquiries; arrange and deliver consultations, Walk & Train sessions, walks, classes, workshops and online education; prepare and review behaviour plans; manage bookings and payments; communicate about your service; and keep appropriate business, safety and incident records.
We use information where necessary to provide a service you request, meet a legal obligation, or pursue a legitimate interest such as responding to enquiries and running activities safely. Where consent is required, including for certain marketing, optional publicity or non-essential cookies, we will ask for it separately. You can withdraw consent by contacting us.
Bookings, payments and other providers
Our online booking page uses Acuity Scheduling. We may also use Stripe for payments, email and WhatsApp for communication, and Skool for Beneath the Behaviour. Website hosting, accounting and secure storage providers may process information on our behalf.
These services may handle information outside the UK. We will use appropriate safeguards where required. Please check each provider’s privacy information when using its platform.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to deliver a service, work with our service providers or advisers, deal with an insurer or incident, comply with the law, or respond to an emergency. We will normally discuss sharing case information with your vet or another professional with you first.
Photographs, videos and testimonials
Videos and photographs you send for behaviour support are used for your case. We will ask separately before using an identifiable image, video, name or testimonial for promotion, social media or teaching. Declining publicity will not affect your service.
You can withdraw permission for future use by emailing hello@kentcaninebehaviour.co.uk. We will remove material under our control where reasonably possible, although we may not be able to recall printed material or copies shared by others.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for its purpose and any applicable accounting, insurance or legal requirements. Our intended periods are:
Enquiries that do not become bookings: 2 weeks after the last contact.
Client notes, plans, messages and supplied media: 3 year after the last service.
Booking, payment and accounting records: 3 years
Incident or complaint records: 3 years or longer while a matter remains open.
We then delete or securely dispose of information unless there is a specific reason to retain it.
Your rights and complaints
You may have the right to access your personal information, correct it, request its deletion, restrict or object to its use, or ask for a portable copy. These rights depend on the circumstances and may have exceptions.
To make a request or raise a data protection complaint, email hello@kentcaninebehaviour.co.uk. We will acknowledge a complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay, keep you informed and explain the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and external websites
Our website may use essential cookies and optional analytics or marketing tools. Where consent is required for optional cookies, you should be able to make a choice before they are set. Links to external websites and platforms are governed by those providers’ own privacy policies.
We will update this policy when our services or the systems we use change. The current version will be published on kentcaninebehaviour.co.uk.
